Crayfish Trap Workshop (fee): Ages: 8 and up with an adult. Participants will meet at Lock 60 in Mont Clare by 10:00 a.m. and meet at the Locktender’s House. SCA will provide materials and assistance to build a crayfish trap and review the pertinent PA Fish and Game Commission regulations. There is a $15 fee for materials for each trap and pre-registration is required.

Paddlers will meet in the boat launch parking lot at Lock 60 at 1:00 p.m. and will paddle 2.5 miles down the Schuylkill River, portage about 200 yards to the canal, and paddle up the canal to Lock 60. The paddle takes approximately 2 hours, depending on stops.  Life Jackets Required. Children welcome with adult supervision. Free of charge; however, donations will gladly be accepted.
