Registration

  • Singles horseshoe tournament held at St. Michael's Park, 10 AM. We are no longer accepting electronic registration for the horseshoe tournament. Registrations will be accepted from 9 to 10 AM on the day of the event.
  • Business Expo at Lock 60, 8:45 AM -4 PM,
  • 2014 Canoe and/or Kayak 5-mile water trail loop race - paddling downstream in the river, a short portage, and paddling upstream in the canal. We are no longer accepting electronic registrations for the Canoe/Kayak Race. Registration begins at 10 AM, boats in the water by 11 AM for the race. Awards given in canoe and kayak categories.
  • A doubles horseshoe tournament held at St. Michael's Park. We are no longer accepting electronic registration for the Doubles Horseshoe Tournament. Registrations will be accepted up until the event starts. Singles tournament starts at 10 AM and doubles tournament follows immediately after. Cash and trophy prizes to top three teams.
  • Canal Day 2014 Flea Market / Craft Show at St. Michael's Park, 9 AM to 4 PM. We are no longer accepting registration for the Flea Market/Craft Show
  • Canal Day 2014 Flea Market / Craft Show at St. Michael's Park, 9 AM to 4 PM.
  • The 5-mile trail run along the Schuylkill River in Mont Clare, PA. This year's run will be in memory of Denny Porrini, SCA's volunteer who created the trail run 27 years ago. The run will continue to be held annually as a memorial to all that Denny has done for the Association.

    Electronic registrations will be accepted up to approximately one week before the race. Registration begins at 8 AM at St. Michael's Park, run starts at 9 AM at Lock 60. You will be required to your sex; M or F, and age to place you in the appropriate run categories.

SCA's 32nd Canal Day
Come out to enjoy a day of family-oriented fun along the Schuylkill Canal. Lots of things to do: food, music, kids' games & crafts, competitive activities such as the Denny Porrini Memorial 5-Mile Trail Run, the 5-Mile Canoe/Kayak Race, and the Canal Joust. The Horseshoe Tournament will be back this year, including a doubles competition to add even more excitement!

 

Crafters, vendors and flea marketers are welcomed and wanted. 

 

Sponsors for this community-wide fundraiser are still needed and welcomed. Depending on the level of sponsorship you could get your name & logo listed on the back of the Trail Run T-shirt, in the Canal Day Program Booklet to be handed out to the anticipated 3,000 visitors, and be listed on the web and on lists distributed throughout the area that day. 

 

All businesses and non-profits are invited to participate in our Business Expo. Spaces are available for $25 per for local businesses and FREE for non-profits.
