The Schuylkill Canal Association hopes to welcome visitors to the Locktender’s Open Houses again soon. We are working to coordinate programs and staffing. Lock 60 is currently inoperable and will remain so until dredging of the forebay is complete. We hope to have more information soon. SCA also encourages the general public to attend its Board of Directors meetings scheduled for the second Tuesday of even numbered months or join one of our working committees that meet during odd numbered months. Thanks to the generous support of Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County and the Association’s sponsors and members program admission is low or no cost. Donations are always accepted to help offset the cost involved with educational programming and outreach.
