Many of us enjoy the unique paddling experience we find in Phoenixville/Mont Clare, PA. We are fortunate to have a unique & historic place to paddle with the canal and the only remaining lock on the Schuylkill River. What many of us don’t see is all the hard work done on a 100% volunteer basis to keep the canal operating.

Lock 60 has an amazing crew of volunteers who selflessly donate their time, equipment and money in order to help keep the canal functioning. This year alone they have spent thousands of dollars in man hours and equipment clearing trees out of the canal so we are able to navigate it’s waters. Now there are 2 more large trees across the canal that need removed.

In an effort to support their cause, and say thank you, we are going to have a fund raising paddle. All of the money collected will go directly to the Schuylkill Canal Association.

$20 Minimum Donation if you have your own kayak

$40 Minimum donation if you need to rent a kayak

For participating everyone will receive (1) Free Sly Fox Beer (must be 21 years old) and (1) Voucher for a free beer (must be 21 years old) for your next visit to Sly Fox in Phoenixville or Pottstown location.

Extra incentive – If we raise $1000.00 I will paddle the 5 mile loop on a SUP Board in a dress.
